A traditional tank water heater holds between 40-60 gallons of water. The need for such storage means it’s bulky and the size of a closet. When you switch to a tankless unit, you free up space in your home. Tankless heaters are small and wall-mounted, so they don’t need their own closet.
Endless hot water
If you have ever run out of hot water mid-shower, you already know one of the main shortcomings of traditional tank water heaters. These tank heaters pre-heat and store hot water, meaning you can exhaust the hot water supply. Conversely, tankless hot water heaters heat water on demand. Therefore, it will continue heating water as long as you need it and won’t run out.
