Kenneth John Fagnan (1945-2024)
Ken Fagnan started working on his own in 1968 after working at Furnaceman Industries, officially becoming Fagnan’s Furnace Service in 1971. For over 50 years, Ken operated Fagnan’s – which at its peak had over 150 employees and operated out of 5 different cities. Ken had a passion for helping his customers, supporting the community and raising his family. Ken always loved to hear from his long-time customers and would only accept a cup of coffee as payment for his services. In an office full of staff, he was always the first to pick up the phone. His involvement with the community earned Ken many awards, including the Golden Jubilee Medal from her Majesty the Queen in 2002. His hard-work and dedication influenced his own children to enter into the industry, all who worked side by side with him and now operate Fagnan’s Furnace Service today.
His passion also inspired many to start their own companies. Over a dozen of Calgary’s HVAC business had their start at Fagnan’s. Many of them would call Ken or visit him on occasion over the years – to swap stories and catch up on industry gossip.
The Fagnan family now operates Fagnan’s Furnace Service, with over 95 years of combined experience. The common goal, among the family is to operate the business for another 50 years. To be a leader in the industry by completing the most up to date training, providing our co-workers with the latest technology and the best tools, providing the best in products and service for our customer’s and most importantly by earning your satisfaction.
